Refunds
Fourteen days, no questions asked. Emailsupport@preparedground.com from the address you paid with, within 14 days of purchase, and the payment is refunded in full through Ko-fi.
You do not need a reason, and you are not asked to delete the file first — there is no way to verify that, so pretending otherwise would be theatre. This runs on the assumption that people who ask for their money back have a fair reason to.
What usually prompts one
Most refunds come down to a mismatch in expectations, and the two most common are worth stating plainly before you buy rather than after:
- These describe places, not parcels. They cannot tell you anything about a specific piece of land — flood zone, deeded access, HOA, severed mineral rights, or whether there is water on the ground. They are also not a listing feed: nothing here tells you what is for sale.
- The state-level screens reflect one particular set of criteria. They are separate layers you can decline or switch off, but if the underlying rubric is not close to yours, the County Screen rankings will not be either.
Custom layers
Same 14 days, with one practical caveat: commissioned work is built to a spec agreed by email before payment. If the delivered layer matches what was agreed, a refund is still yours for the asking — but the surest way to avoid needing one is to settle the spec in writing first, which is why the process asks you to email before you pay.
Chargebacks
Please email before opening a dispute with Ko-fi or your card issuer. A refund by email takes a day; a dispute takes weeks and reaches the same outcome.
